Can Macholics read my files?
No. Files and file names are encrypted on your device. We store ciphertext and wrapped keys only.
What if I forget my password?
You get a recovery key when you set up. It is shown once. Without the password or the recovery key, nobody can open your files, including us.
Is the cleaner safe?
It only works inside an allowlist of folders, shows a full review first, and moves items to the Trash with a restore log. Nothing is deleted outright.
Which devices work?
Mac (macOS 14+), any modern browser, and an iPhone companion for photo backup and cleanup.
